Community Guidelines
Effective date: October 16, 2026
Version 2026-10-16
Athletech is built to help athletes get better, and most of the people here are young players, their parents, and their coaches. These Community Guidelines explain how we expect everyone to treat each other. They apply to Athletech, Baseball AI, and Softball AI on the web at athletech.co and in our iOS and Android apps (the "Services"). They work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
The short version
- Coach the swing, not the person. Constructive feedback is welcome. Personal attacks are not.
- Many of our athletes are kids. Treat every athlete the way you would want a coach to treat your own child.
- Share only what you have the right to share, and never share someone else's personal information.
- Zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors, threats, hate, and harassment.
- Keep it about sports. No spam, scams, or ads.
- See something wrong? Email support@athletech.co.
- When these guidelines change, we will ask you to accept the new version before you comment or share again.
1. Who these guidelines apply to
These guidelines apply to everyone who uses the Services: athletes, parents and guardians, coaches, and team staff. Parents and guardians who manage an account for an athlete are responsible for activity on that account. Coaches are responsible for how they and their staff use team features.
They cover anything you post or share, including:
- Comments on training videos
- Analytics share links, including any name or clip you choose to include
- Team and collaboration features
- Profile details, names, and captions you add
By creating an account, you agree to follow these guidelines. You will also be asked to confirm that you agree before you comment on a video or create a share link, and again whenever we publish a new version.
2. Be respectful
- Disagreeing about mechanics, drills, or approach is fine. That is coaching.
- No insults, name-calling, mocking, or intimidation.
- No harassment, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact.
- No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
- No threats of violence, and no encouraging anyone to harm themselves.
3. Commenting on training videos
Comments exist to help an athlete improve.
- Be specific and constructive: what you see, why it matters, and what to try next.
- Talk about the swing, the throw, or the drill. Not someone's body, looks, or worth.
- Never ridicule an athlete, especially a minor, for their performance, size, or ability.
- Keep comments about the video. If adults disagree (for example, a parent and a coach), take it offline and keep it respectful.
- Remember who may read your comment: the athlete, their parents, teammates, and coaches.
4. Protecting young athletes
Many athletes on Athletech are under 18, and some are under 13 and use an account managed by a parent or guardian.
- Zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors, sexualized comments about any athlete, or grooming behavior. We remove it, terminate the account, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
- Adults should not use the Services to seek private, one-on-one contact with a minor who is not their own child or athlete, or to move a conversation with a minor to another platform without a parent's knowledge.
- Respect parent controls. If a parent or guardian has limited what can be shared about their child, do not work around it.
- Do not post a minor's personal details, such as their school, address, phone number, or schedule, in comments or share links.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle children's information, including restrictions on share links for athletes under 13.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 first, then contact us.
5. Keep it appropriate
Do not upload, post, comment, or share:
- Sexual or sexually suggestive content of any kind
- Graphic violence or gore
- Illegal content, or content that promotes illegal activity, including illegal drug use or performance-enhancing drugs
- Profanity or slurs directed at another person
- Someone else's personal information, such as home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or financial details
- Content that impersonates another person, coach, team, organization, or Athletech
- Content that infringes someone else's rights, including copyrights and trademarks
- Malware, phishing links, or attempts to access other people's accounts or interfere with the Services
6. Sharing analytics and videos
Share links let you show scores and, if you choose, a name or clip.
- Only share videos and analytics that are yours, your child's, or an athlete's you have permission to share. Coaches should get permission from the athlete (or their parent or guardian, if the athlete is a minor) before sharing a player's clip.
- Anyone with a share link may be able to view what you shared until the link expires or you turn it off. Links expire after 30 days. You can turn a link off sooner in the app. Do not include a name or clip you would not want seen outside your team.
- Do not use share links to embarrass, mock, or single out an athlete.
- Do not present someone else's video or scores as your own, or alter results to mislead coaches, scouts, or recruiters.
- If something was shared that should not have been, turn the link off in the app, or email us and we will help.
7. Keep it about sports
- Stay on topic: training, development, and the game.
- No spam, repetitive posts, or chain messages.
- No unsolicited advertising, sales pitches, or promotion of paid services in comments. Coaches may mention their own lessons or programs to athletes (or parents) on their own roster. Do not pitch services to people you do not coach.
- No scams, including fake recruiting services, payment requests, or giveaways.
8. Reporting a problem
To report content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, email support@athletech.co with the subject line "Community report." Please include:
- What happened
- Where it happened (a video comment or share link, with a link or screenshot if you can)
- The names of any accounts involved
- When it happened
We review every report and may contact you for more information. We keep reports confidential to the extent we can. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
9. What happens when guidelines are broken
Depending on how serious the violation is, we may:
- Remove content or disable share links
- Restrict commenting or sharing
- Suspend or terminate the account
- Report the activity to law enforcement
Serious violations, including anything that endangers a minor or any credible threat of violence, may lead to immediate termination without warning. Repeated smaller violations may also lead to suspension or termination. These actions are consistent with our Terms of Service. If you think we made a mistake, email support@athletech.co.
10. Changes to these guidelines
We may update these guidelines as the Services grow. When we make a material change, we will publish a new version with a new version number and effective date at the top of this page. You will be asked to review and accept the new version before you can comment on videos or create share links again. Small edits, such as fixing typos or formatting, may not require you to accept again.
